When I see (and hear) atrocities like this, i think to myself - well, classical music is definitely dead... My God, this is even worse than Maxim Mrvica or Two Cellos. But, can be seen as an interesting phenomenon in regard to what is modern classical musician's response to the decline of popularity of classical music in present times. Classical musicians are known for poor taste in pop music, and lack of connection to what is authentic in pop culture. So, their version of genre crossover and attempt to make classical music more accessible is always some puke-inducing kitsch like this. This might be the worst example I've encountered... But, they do look hot, as previous commentators noticed, that is a talent that is not actually wasted here.
zismaer just because classical instruments are used to play modern songs doesn’t mean “classical music is dead”. While it is a fact that it is by lengths not as popular as ist used to be 200+ years ago, that is because back then it was one of the only genres. Now, with technology, of course the music industry evolved too. So stop blaming your hate of the generation you were born into on these women who play the violin beautifully. And by the way I am sure these two didn’t learn to play the violin so well just to be objectified by creepy old men on the internet.
